    Drive

I’ve choked back tears from pain you can’t imagine

Looking in the rear view like man.. how did even  that happen?

Everything was Groovy just cruising in the van then I smashed it

    Can you grasp this?

I’m just so sick of getting in my own way it’s like a hit-miss

Up and down just this fading cloud and I’m sick of it

     but I ain’t giving in

It’s no quit in this slave to these systems

I’ma keep pushin’ though at times I don’t get them

     I cannot dismiss them

They ain’t the problem I am so I’ma fix it

Press in, dig don’t wanna miss this

Still tryna save time with these check lists

    And I’m done being passive

    Matter fact I’m past it

I’ve gotta drive train to bring this internal combustion to the masses

I was seconds away from being “Grave Digger’s” sandwich

Coulden’t tell you why me they chose to salvage

I was broke down and hopeless

Never ever wish for you to feel just how cold this road is

Selfishness only creates its own vortex of loneliness

I’ll trade it in for The highway of holiness

    And these signs that follow

    Headlights illuminate my path

Don’t pretend to know it all that’s why I read at the Map

Rip off the rear view cause I ain’t even looking back

Clean up the old you no rust no flats

And it’s a bumpy road & dodge those potholes

I’m at this intersection tryna choose which way to go

The new school or the tried and true rout yet I cruse down this dead end

    Power brake wheels spinnin’

Stand still to fourth my clutch grindin’

    I’m red linin ‘

I know that’s where I’m supposed to be but only in its timin’

    Try me in this

We gotta start low but it’s a shift commin’

Well-oiled machine hit the street runnin’

Like a 39 ton diesel straight truckin’

    Finish line I’m commin’

    I execute these “S” & “Hair-pin”  turns flawlessly

    Some drift some traction

But this ain’t a joy-ride there’s purpose to my every action

Weight-reduction remove all the extra baggage that was holding me

    Back In now

    I got my oil changed

Stay booking down the road you paved

But first under the hood there’s something’s that have to take place

Fuel and air intake is where it starts

Compress it next the plug sparks

Get a proper view of all these obstacles

Cause something’s gotta  to burn dude

And pretty soon your problems are gonnna be your fuel

    harness the energy don’t vent

And waist the gift of pressure

Cause all that will be left is fumes when  old bones become your treasure

But all you’ll hear outa this straight six is a steady hum

And without this structure all I’m is is just an explosion

And I wonder why I’m so stressed out

    Wait a second

That aint got nothing to do with what this about

For a minute I missed it back to this expedition

To get across country you have to have a vision, a purpose, a plan of action

Or you’ll get distracted cause there’s some pretty neat stuff along the way

But keep your eyes on the prize cause good ain’t great

    And great aint the best

Buckle up hit the gas and pass the rest

I will not settle for less

Than first cause this finish line coming up and soon this race will be over

Shoulda pushed when you had the chance now it’s too late

The same opportunity placed before me is before you

Will you cruise down life’s hills in neutral or will you

Drive past all the excuses  of why you just can’t

And how  ya past was just  so dark

Get past your past and get back to the start

If you check my “Car-fax” it will tell you I’m worth nothing but scratch parts

    Destined to the junk yard

    But history ain’t everything

For a time I let it get the best of me

But it won’t get the rest from me

“Fix-aFlat” and “Bondo” won’t fix those holes for long though

Definitely won’t stand the test of time or the heat of where your fixin’ to go

To truly repair these problems you have to remove the broken parts

We tend try and guard our own heart and cover up problems instead of cut them out.

There’s still rust growin’ under the paint and primer now.

We’d rather keep the old instead of get something new

    We rather stay dinged up

Then get hammered on and welded until it’s us

You see where I am, but you can’t see the price I’ve paid

    Restoration is a processes

    It will cost you everything

Consistent maintenance keeps big problems from happening

But even after your all cleaned up there’s still  gonna be some bugs get stuck up on your windshield and grille

But don’t sweat it hit the washer fluid keep it moving

    It doesn’t effect your wheels

The best way to cut down wind resistance is to draft

Get behind someone who’s already doing it like a Boaz

If your breaks are squeaking you probably nee some new pads

But over all this the most important thing is Devotion and time

I don’t get in over my head all I Gotta do is Drive

But I’m not alive, I’m livin’

    And I don’t drive, I’m driven

    The “all-mighty” dollar

Or as we Christians like to call it, the root of all Evil

Paper chasers deceived along with every group of people

    God we need you

    Teach us to see through

    these distractions

What we need is just to seek you instead of flesh satisfaction

Open out eyes to your sequel Jesus Christ commin’ back give us a Clear view

In comparison to you there’s no equal

    Just one glance is enough

My appetite is  ruined to all this other junk

At times it seems my heart would bust I used to try to pick it back up

Now I know that in all your ways your Just enough to keep me

Every days a battle satan trying to deceive me

    but HA HA

My house is bolted to this Rock

without it I know I’ll get squashed

    it’s my salvation

that’s why every day I’m patiently waiting

    chasin’

Layin asphalt or you can call it Pavement

    PAYMENT

Is what He Gave to the debt that I owed

    Now I know

Everyone is called but only a few are Chose

My knowledge faith and hunger it grows

    The Spirit it groans

When I walk in fellowship with His love it shows

Flows like rivers of living water Praises explode

    Your Grace it can mold

    Even the hardest heart

I thank you God for a brand new start!

You’re everything I could ever need

There’s no place I’d rather be

    Your love Tis’ so sweet

Whatever it is don’t try, trust and believe

    We can’t, but He can

Fulfillment is found in the Great I Am

    There’s nothing you can do

    You’re already approved

He’s added up all the Trip-ups stumbles and falls

    You’re worth it

That’s right He loves us, even if our run, turns to a crawl

God doesn’t measure how far you fall, but if you get back up

Trust that what He did was truly enough

Even through tough times, love reminds me, this journey is to kill me

    Meet this sacrifice with fire

Consider it an honor when you face affliction

Just know it’s God trusting that you won’t stay missin’

God Brings things into perspective, full circle

He Brings all of us out, till were full of Him

The hardest thing a Christian can do, is Give God 98% of your life

How can you win the “Revolution”, when there’s a “Civil War” in your mind

Fear not, for I have redeemed you

I have summoned you by My Name

    You Are Mine!

                           Leviticus 6:13

“The Fire shall be ever burning upon the altar, it shall never go out.”

    My first response was OUCH!

It’s alright though; God doesn’t want to hurt your pride

    He wants to kill it!

    Dealin’ it a death blow,

Move outa’ the way so only He shows, now I’m livin’

My world has no floors, no ceilins’

My flesh is weak, but my Spirit’s willin’

    My skin still grillin’

El Qanna, My Name is Jealous

Christ is in all, and is all, so give all

Don’t hold back, make your resolve

We’re in this for the long haul

The angels guide your steps, ensuring that you won’t fall

So don’t run from the flames, chase it embrace it

After all, He loves those He chastens, embraces as sons

You have to burn to shine

Communion with Your Spirit, I’m fully, yours your fully mine

Together we’ll dine, forever your mine

So many times, I could have lost my mind

    But You held it together

Through all the storms & inclement weather

    God your SO much better!

So whether or not, I make it into heaven or not, my soul it is locked

You rock my world, knock of my socks, God you’re so BIG but to me, this is a lot

Humbly you came to the world you made, so we could be saved

Brought me out of the grave, there’s no other way

This love You have shown, makes me gladly embrace my tomb

    You’ve healed all my wounds

Showing me the Plans you had for me since before I was even in my mother’s womb

True Strength, is when a man allows his will to bend

So I’ll  say  “Bend me, break me, kill me, take me!”

Whatever it takes for Ya’ll to embrace me

I don’t wanna ever leave Your Spirit’s too sweet

“Oh taste and see” if not in your life take it from me

He so graciously brought me up out of the dirt, all He did was breathe

    Now that same Breath

Turning up the heat in my life & putting me to the test

Now here in His Spirit I can finally find my rest-easy

Knowing my Fathers pleased with me, and He’s cheesin’

Faith makes all things possible, Love makes it easy

    Abandonment!

    No, I surrender all-most

Satan’s laughing we too think it’s a joke

What we don’t see is his rope

It’s around our neck and its slowly getting tighter

Hide under the Fridge cockroach my gods brighter

El Shaddia the Lord Most High

That’s my God, He answers by fire

    The Lord He is God

    The Lord He is GOD

So now I allow myself to get crushed, like an olive now I’m oil, waiting for a lighter

With this ignition I’ll bring him recognition

Trusting my intuition or you can call Him Spirit

Cause I know in my flesh, there aint no way I could come near Him.

So you may ask yourself, “what Pleases God?”

It’s His Son alone & He chose

    Abandonment

    Total radical abandonment!

Jesus Christ was sent from heaven

To give us the Image of what it means to lay down, everything

Sure, there’s some great stuff here, but in comparison to the precious faith

    Meaningless

Jesus Christ, the Hope of Glory

Head Corner Stone is what I hold to

Lean on, build upon, I wanna know You more.

Don’t wanna be one crying Lord Lord.

Or be one spewed because I’m lukewarm

No, I refuse to hold anything back I choose to burn I’m jumping in the fire

There’s no net under this tight rope I’m walking

No earthly security, Jesus Christ is enough for me

I won’t put my weight on any stuff

NO, I want you more than any false fleeting trust

I choose truth not fantasy, toys games, I refuse to play

I’d rather have his presence any day.

& I’m free from your opinions man

I’m living to please something more than just skin deep, or my souls week, day, month, year.

The Rest of my life I’ve made this very clear.

There’s no loop hole, rope, chain, noose on my neck.

    I’m free place your bets.

He gave me the grace to eternally chase

No longer embrace these lies to my face

Death and my powerlessness against it

That’s right I’m gonna face death to flesh, not to manage it

    Obedience, Ruthlessness no regrets,

    Abandonment!

String up the old man by his Neck now my spirit man can Finally..

    Catch His breath.

    Finally

    • 33. He loves me just like I am
    • 34. There is no greater love than for a man to lay down his life for his friend

    • 44. Became our descendant
    • 45. This is how the sentence ended
    • 46. Maybe He just did it to give us a new beginning
    •
    • 1.Sometimes, when we slip-up or even have thoughts about our old ways and habits, the enemy (Satan) tries to convince us that we haven’t really been freed. When actually, Christ work was completed on the Cross and we simply need to rest in this fact. The truth is, we can’t do it, only His grace in us can enable us to walk-out our freedom.(Romans 3:22-24 John 8:44 & 19:30 )
    • 2. When it comes down to it, at the end of the day, we can blame any set of circumstances, family background or the environment that we were raised in, but the truth is, we have to face the fact that we have gotten ourselves where we are. We can get drunk, get high, have sex, even listen to music or stay super busy to try and forget where we are. Wherever your favorite hiding place is, when we come back, the fact is, we have to own up to who we are. We are responsible for who we have become.
    • 3. Another fact is, that as people, we LOVE MESS. So, we need the Holy Spirit of God to break into our souls and change us, to teach us to hate the old man and all his lustful desires that never satisfy us anyway.( Colossians 3:9, Psalm97:10 Hebrews 11:25 Isaiah 58:11). Even food leaves us empty and unsatisfied after an hour or two. This flesh is insatiable; we need to rely on the living water Jesus talks about in John chapter four.
    • 4.(James 1:2)
    • 5.Love is not what the movies would lead us to believe. True love is 1st Corinthians 13. Look at John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.” Giving is a choice. True love is the most valuable thing in the world because it cost us Sooo much (really it just cost us a little flesh).
    • 6. (Galatians 5:16)
    • 7. God uses fire as one method to purify us. When I say “nothing” in this life, I’m talking about sin. A better way to put it would be, “keep the fire burning till there’s no sin left”. (Leviticus6:13 Malachi 3:2)
    • 8. The second death reference is saying to keep the sin burning all the way to the second death. Yes, there is more than one death.(Revelation 21:8)
    • 9. One of the most common reasons people don’t walk in the fullness of what God has for them is that, at some point, they lower the bar or give up altogether. (Mathew 24:13)
    • 10. Our Christian walk is comparable to school, if you fail a grade; you stay in the same place until you get it right. (Genesis 22:1Proverbs 24:16)
    • 11. It is extremely important not to dwell on the things that have happened. You are not what you have done. (Colossians 3:2 Genesis 19:26 Isaiah 43:18)
    • 12. It’s so easy to get caught up in the cares of life or the things that are so close to us, that we get focused on them. It’s so important for us to see things from our “heavenly seat”(Ephesians2:6) and get the big picture. The master scheme, that all things work together work together for the good of those who love him. (Romans 8:28)(Romans 8:18 John 14:6)
    • 13. If you need a witness to attest to God’s chain-breaking ability, ask me or anyone that knew who I was. I didn’t even want change, but God changed my heart. The fight is fixed. (Acts 16:25-26 & 5:38-39 Romans 8:31)
    • 14. One of the greatest aspects of God is that He’s not like us. He always sees the best in us, and He never gives up! (Psalms 51:1)
    • 15. The Bible never tells us to fight the devil head on. Even Michael the archangel says, “The Lord rebuke thee” in Jude 1:9. We are directed to resist him & he will flee. (1st Corinthians 10:13)
    • 16. It is vital for us to “untie” ourselves from everything that would have any type of pull back to who we used to be. The devil will always use the people closest to you. (Mathew 18:8 & 19:29 Acts 9)
    • 17. It is possible to be out of a situation, but in your mind, still be connected. We have to let go of everything. (Luke 9:57-62)
    • 18. One of the most powerful weapons a Christian has is a light switch. When you turn on a light in a room, all the things that can so easily hide in the dark are exposed. There is no Epic Battle between light and dark. The light comes in and the darkness has to go.(John 1:5) We have to recognize our desperate need for change before we are willing to go through the un-comfortableness of uncovering vulnerable areas in our own lives to spiritual authority (parents, pastors, all leadership). John 1 tells us that Christ is the life and that life is the light of men. II Corinthians 5: 17 promises that everyone that is in Christ is a new creation, the old has passed away and all has been made new.
    • 19. Fake outs and jukes are evasive maneuvers. This one goes hand in hand with the 15th line.
    • 20. The only thing that can keep you from God is (your name here). Choose today to get grit and determination to stay moving forward and God can keep you from falling. He’s kept me for over a year. (Romans 8:28-39 Jude 1:24)
    • 21. We can get so caught up with the details of our plans and dreams not going exactly how we thought they would, that we miss that all things really work for the good of those who love Him. We need to grasp the master scheme, and trust that He cares for us.
    • 22. When I think about me being up close & personal, then it’s easy for pride to rise up when I am emotionally involved from my small minded thinking.
    • 23. It is also important not to be so far away that you don’t have heart for the individuals and situations unfolding. We have to re-align, because there will be some bumps and unexpected turns in the road. It is so important to stay the course no matter what. (Philippians 3:14)
    • 24. “Jump & Jive & Wail” is a song from the fifty’s era that we used to make fun of as kids. I used it here as a reference to “playing games”, because people really are dying out here every day, and if we don’t reach them, who will?
    • 25. “Count the Cost” make a sober decision; this is going to cost you everything. If you do this Christian thing right, it will be the hardest thing you ever have to do. Oooh, but it’s worth it. Bring out the scales and weigh everything. (Luke 14:28)
    • 26. The Bible does not say that the sailors made Jonah walk a plank. It says they threw him overboard. Sometimes people you may be in contact with, really just don’t want to pursue God. Jonah was about to cause a whole crew of sailors to die, because he was running from God. Even with that, the sailors were still hesitant about throwing him overboard.
    • 27. Sometimes the best thing for a leader to do with a rebellious person is to stop fooling with them. I’m not going to say when the right time to do that is, but at some point you have to let people get so low that they have nobody else they can turn to besides God. (1st Corinthians 5:5)
    • 28. Sometimes we try to play tug-of-war with God. We can’t see everything…He can. (Isaiah 55:9)
    • 29. This is such an awesome attribute of God! Even when I think I can’t make it, even when I’m about to break, He is bigger! He Is God! (Hebrew 6:13 1st john 3:20, 4:4, 5:9)
    • 30. The definition for the word took is awesome, it means, “Lay hold of (something) with one’s hands; reach for and hold. Remove (someone or something) from a particular place.” When I said I did a 180, I’m talking about a complete U turn! I was chasing crack with everything I had. Now, I’m not even the same person. Now, I pursue God with everything, and even the more so. I go way further for God, because its true love. There are things I give God I would never give drugs. The gratification may not be immediate, but it is eternal. (Luke 17:33, Romans 6:17-18)
    • 31. God can change your inmost desires. He can take the most perverted mind and clean it up. I don’t know about you, my mind was dirty, it needed to be washed. He can teach you to love others just like you love yourself and to lay your life down for them. (Ezekiel 11:19, 1st Corinthians 15:31)
    • 32. Another amazing attribute of God is that He loves us right where we are. I know even in my mess, He loved me and still loves me (even when I miss it sometimes). (Luke 15:20)
    • 33. God doesn’t just love us when we start coming “home”, He loves the vilest of heathen. The Bible says in II Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.” There’s nothing we can do to earn more of God’s love, but this love should compel us to lay down our lives just like he laid down His. God’s goodness leads men to repentance. ”Romans 2:8” (Romans 5:8)
    • 34. (John 15:13)
    • 35. How can strength be bending your will? Who was stronger, Jesus or the ones beating Him? When you’re faced with a situation where your “getting beat” and your pride automatically stands up, sit it down and humility will volunteer itself. The bible says that His grace is enough for us, and that His strength is made perfect in our weakness.(II Corinthians 12:9)
    • 36. (3rd John 1:4)
    • 37. Why do we need blood, it seems kind of weird, right? “Covered in the blood, I plead your blood”.. in Hebrews 9:22 it tells us that only by blood, is there forgiveness. (Revelation 1:5)
    • 38. “Slew foot” is a reference to the devil. Slew is the past tense of slay. Foot is what you’re going to slay him with. The Bible also tells us that we can only be tempted by our own lusts. We tend to “play the victim” of the devil, and act like we can’t change, when really, we don’t want to. The Bible also says in the book of James that we will not be tempted beyond what we can bear and that there has already been a way of escape provided. (Genesis 3:14-15 James 1:14)
    • 39. The Bible teaches us on multiple occasions to give him EVERYTHING. Jesus makes it very clear that we have to let things go, not just blatant sins either. He wants our whole hearts, not just for us to look good on the outside. (Luke 12:13-21)
    • 40. Our lives are so short; it’s easy to get sidetracked. One fraction of a degree off now, will lead us a lot further off of the original mark than we might see. (James 4:14)
    • 41. To savor something is to delight in it or to take time and enjoy it. We tend to be so busy with what we’re doing, we can forget for WHOM we are doing it. When we finally stop and “get our heads right”, it’s easy to do what we need to do…when we realize for whom we are doing it. This is one way grace works. God breathed the breath of life in Genesis 2:7. When I think “Christ-given” breath, I think of redeemed breath. The breath that He gives us after the first breath that Adam tainted with sin. (Psalms 37:4)
    • 42. Repentance is described a few different ways, one way is a U turn. Stop going one direction, turn and go in the opposite direction. Another way is to change the way you think about something. When you change the way you think about something, the actions follow. We focus so much on the fruits of our actions, that we miss the Atmosphere that allows these things to grow. (Acts 2:38)
    • 43. Jesus got off His throne in heaven to come down to earth, aka, “His footstool”. He then subjected Himself to all the laws of this world. It’s amazing, read John 3:13.
    • 44. Jesus came from heaven as an only son. He went back as the first born of many brothers (Romans 8:29)
    • 45. Jesus took on our debt. The bible tells us the wages of sin is death, what we all have earned. He came as a way for God to take out all the anger and wrath He had against our sin. He paid the debt that we owed. Everything we have, God gave it to us. We owe him our lives. We are nothing without Him, yet He chooses to honor us. (John 19:302nd Corinthians1:9-10)
    • 46. Revelation 21 paints a beautiful picture of the new beginning that is coming after Jesus Christ comes back. He did it to redeem the entire world, but he also died to personally give you a “restart” button for your life.

    Holiness

Without which no man can see the Lord

So just remember this we really is surrounded by this great cloud of witnesses

With this throw off all hindrances and everything that gets your eyes fixed on anything besides Him

I just keep remindin’ this flesh that I’m the one that’s got Him in a Check List

Jesus the author and perfecter of my faith

I will complete this Race its already been marked out

Its only through his Grace can I live this life out

Whats this the balls in my hands now

I fully rely on His spirit I know he’ll teach me how

To Endure like He did on that Cross cause in comparison to that I’m a weakling

I’m needing some help Carrying this Toothpick Cross

and without your Grace even this small load im Lost

Tossed like thorns in the Fire

Lost like a monkey tryna ride a unicycle Blindfolded over a highwire..

But this part gets heavy don’t lose heart when the Rebuke seems like your buried

Endure Remember were surrounded by this Great cloud of witnesses

With this Position yourself in a dusty dry place to get pressed

Soon you’ll see how the pain now produces peace & Righteousness

Really peace is just a mind that’s Fixed

So if your arms are feeble and you have week knees don’t get a seat with wheels make level paths for your feet so the lame may no longer be disabled but rather be healed.
